Meeting chooses board of directors and councils
08/03/2010 – IHT carried out its Extraordinary and Ordinary General Meeting on July 24th. During the Extraordinary Meeting, the new board of directors, as well as the audit committee and advisory council were elected. This crew is meant to work from 2010 to 2012.
The Institute idealizers Patricia Abuhab and Guilherme Blauth remain in the board of directors, as president and treasurer, respectively. Secretary in the previous administration, psychologist and audio-visual executer Vera Longo is now the vice-president. For the secretary, comes now the journalist Barbara Pettres.
The advisory council is now composed by the journalist Izabela Moi, currently assistant-editor of Folha de São Paulo’s “Ilustríssima” section. She coordinated in 2009 the communication of the Year of France in Brazil, in the agreement that gathered the two Ministries of Culture.
Giselle Peixe is museologist, having acted in the fields of museology and museography in museums located in São Paulo and other Brazilian states for over 30 years. Cesar Pegoraro is a biologist, working with eco-education, environmental education and permaculture. Was part of several NGO’s, including ISA (Instituto Socioambiental) and SOS Mata Atlântica, and currently, Instituto Vitae Civillis.
The new audit committee is formed by Rodrigo Bandeira de Luna, director of Enzima organization. Rodrigo writes papers and offers courses and seminars on Web-citizenship and the Digital Future of Democracy, and develops the citizen participation portal Democratic City.
Paulo Roberto Ribeiro Frugis has experience on cultural projects production and third sector communication and is the director of Vito Leonardo Frugis Ltd.
Luciano Gurgel do Amaral is an economist with over 10 years of experience in the Brazilian capitals market, with passages through several financial institutions and the Secretaries of Finances and Communication as well as the Official Press of São Paulo.
